On the road and Mevlana Museum

 We were taken to lunch in a 100 year old traditional Ottoman-style home, in a village on the way to Konya.




Travelling over the mountain pass. We stopped and played in the snow.


Whirling Dervish country:


 This is the area where the Whirling Dervishes came from. Mevlana was the founder and many seem to revere him. While we were there, some people came to pray in front of the tomb.
A few of our group went to an optional Whirling Dervish performance done by actors.They said it was very strange and quite monotonous.

The tomb stones have the trade mark "hats" on them
