School Holidays

I am in Sydney at the moment, staying with Mum and Dad for the week. Richard and I spent last weekend here in Sydney being "tourists". We enjoyed visiting the zoo for the day on Saturday. It was drizzly and cool , which was a fine temperature to explore the zoo for us Canberrans!

The view of the city was rather obscured by the mist and drizzle.
Travelling in the gondola to the top end of the zoo.
I was game to pat the crocodile!

On Sunday we joined two of Richard's brothers, Andrew and John, at a local cafe for breakfast. After that we headed off on the train to Sydney Harbour once more. This time we took John with us. It was a beautiful sunny but cool day and the harbour was sparkling. Watson's Bay, Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction and a ferry ride to Darling Harbour were on the agenda. What a great day! We saw Sydney Harbour at it's best.

Last week I enjoyed the time off school, catching up with friends for coffees and lunches.

The notable thing that happened on September 19 was our solar panels were finally turned on, after a huge 18 month delay. This was very exciting and it is fascinating to watch the meters that show us how the sun is silently make electricity.
